I love to go to flea markets in the summer scouting for funny ceramic owls on books, combining two of my favorite interests.

These little owls are from the 1960's.

The library books are arranged. Fiction on top, too tall books lying down. Nonfiction on bottom. As I said, the other books are the ones I own, just in case I ever run out of something to read. They are in no order except size.

Here are my bookshelves. And I really do keep them this neat.
There is one sentimental book in the lot - Mr. McFadden's Hallowe'en by Rumer Godden. I read it in the 6th grade and as a result, dressed up as a jack-o-lantern for book report day.…
