Yes, I see you still—
tall, thin, shy. That slight limp
from polio. You never made it
to college. I never said
goodbye. You tried so hard
to belong. The popular guys,
the beer, and more beer.
The ride home, the speed,
the curve. You never said
goodbye.
Yes, I see you still.
The gold rose and your note—
