Dear Freddie,
What a treat . . .
Mr. Parkinson had to work at the bank so he gave me
his card for the Dude. I sat in a car called Nushon—
I had one of the plush red chairs all to myself,
and the walnut trim was so polished I could see my reflection.
What style!
The conductor had the cutest walrus mustache,
and how the brass buttons on his coat shined.
We arrived in Woods Hole right on time.
I hope to ride the Dude again...
maybe then I'll see President Cleveland!
Affectionately,
Belle
