We ventured down to the harbor at night,
lured by the peaceful beauty.
The moon was full, but the clouds
covered it from time to time, and so my good shoes
are ruined from stepping too close to the water,
and my hose is irreparably ripped from the beach plums.
But, oh, when the moonlight shone down on us,
how Roger swept me up in his arms, asking me to be his forever.
I will treasure this postcard.
Dreamily,
Rebecca
