Description

Eight woodcuts by the California artist Edgar Dorsey Taylor adorn the walls in the library reading room. They are part of a portfolio, with the legend stating there are ten prints.

They are representative of American abstract expressionism of the New York School and the theme is the California coast. They were originally hung in the library in 1980. In 1968 the artist visited Falmouth and Provincetown, and made drawings and watercolors of Provincetown.
