Title
Phyllis' House
Description
Front.
This memorial Playhouse was built as a tribute to Phyllis Eastwood, a former children's librarian much loved by the staff and the community. The whimsical structure replaced a decaying cardboard playhouse that Phyllis faithfully maintained with duct tape and paint because little patrons loved to play in it. Funds to build the new wood playhouse were the result of a Massachusetts Cultural Grant submitted through the Falmouth Cultural Council.
Alfie Glover has a studio in Cataumet and is renowned for his inventive three dimensional artworks, furniture, sculptures, lamps, and mirrors. His artwork can be viewed at the Children's Hospital, Boston and Cape Cod Community College as well as the Falmouth, Bourne, and Hingham Libraries. See more at http://www.gallery333.com/artists/glover.htm
Location: Children's Room.
