Bill Swift on the Dwight Estate
"His wife liked peace, quiet, and solitude, so he decided to build her an island on Salt Pond [...] she had her own little island which is still there today."
William (Bill) Swift is a third generation resident, born and raised in Falmouth. His father was Paul L. Swift, and his grandfather was Frederick Swift. Mr. Swift owned and operated Blue Flame Oil Service for forty years. Here he delves into the history of the John E. Dwight estate on Mill Road, the summer home of one of Falmouth's more influential residents.
